After adversely impacting normal life, cold conditions are expected to take an exit from Odisha as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a rise in the minimum or night temperature. 

As per the latest forecast, there will be no change in the minimum temperature in Odisha in the next two days. However, the minimum temperature is likely to rise in the subsequent two to three days.

“No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) for next 2 days and thereafter rise by 2 to 4  degrees C during subsequent 3 days over the districts of Odisha,” said IMD in its forecast.

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted that several parts of the state will experience moderate to dense fog conditions in the next couple of days. A yellow alert has also been issued for dense fog in some districts of the state.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Kandhamal.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.01.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.01.2025)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Kandhamal.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.01.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.01.2025)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
