YouTuber slaps train passenger to make viral video, arrested in Bihar
A YouTuber from Bihar landed in soup after he randomly slapped a passenger travelling on a train. The accused, identified as Ritesh Kumar, slapped the passenger at Anugraha Narayan Road railway station while his friend recorded the video.
The two accused confessed that they filmed the atrocious act to create viral content. The incident occurred while the passenger was going on a train. One of the accused slapped the innocent passenger while his friend recorded the video.
Public Backlash:
The footage quickly attracted significant attention online, prompting public condemnation and calls for action against Kumar. Viewers were outraged by the man's behaviour and urged authorities to hold him accountable.
Police Intervention:
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) acted swiftly, detaining Kumar and obliging him to publicly apologise for his actions. In a follow-up video, Kumar expressed regret, stating that the incident was a misguided attempt to enhance his social media presence.
“No compromise on passenger security! A YouTuber who slapped a passenger on a moving train for social media has been tracked & arrested by RPF Dehri-on-Sone!” RPF said in a post on X.
“Your safety matters to us. Reckless acts will not be tolerated,” the post further read.
Apology by accused:
Later, the accused YouTuber admitted his mistake and apologized.
“I am a YouTuber. I make and post videos on Instagram to increase my followers. I came to Anugraha Narayan Road Railway station, and to boost my follower count, slapped a passenger on a moving train,” Kumar said.
“This was my mistake and I won’t repeat it. Please forgive me,” he added.

Reacting to Kumar’s arrest, social media users applauded RPF and demanded strict action against him and his friend.
“What nonsense that wasn’t from the heart that was the scripted apology doesn’t count. You should be thrown into prison for slapping someone, that’s violence,” a user shared.
Another user wrote, “He should be made to clean train coaches for one month. Upload the video to YouTube . Lessons got others.”
