UP man lands in hospital after failing to bring ‘samosas’ for wife and family, video goes viral

In a shocking and bizarre incident from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, a man was allegedly beaten up by his wife and her family simply because he failed to bring home samosas. The fight escalated so severely that the police have now registered an attempt to murder case against four accused.

From Samosas to Violence

The victim, Shivam, a resident of Anandpur village, married Sangeeta earlier this year. According to a police complaint filed by Shivam’s mother, Vijay Kumari, the trouble began on August 30 when Sangeeta asked her husband to bring samosas. Shivam failed to do so, which reportedly enraged her.

The next day, Sangeeta allegedly called her family and even convened a panchayat at her in-laws’ house. What should have been a small domestic matter turned into chaos as Sangeeta’s family allegedly assaulted Shivam and his relatives.

Video of Assault Goes Viral

A video of the confrontation has since gone viral, showing both families in a heated physical clash. The footage captures screams, cries, and desperate attempts by bystanders to intervene as violence unfolded.

FIR and Police Action

Following the incident, police registered an FIR against four people, including Sangeeta, under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including attempt to murder. Injured members from the brawl were rushed to the hospital, and an investigation is underway.

Another Tragic Case in UP

Meanwhile, in Gorakhpur, a separate case shocked locals when a woman was shot dead by her estranged husband during a dispute at a local market. Police arrested the accused soon after.
