It is widely believed that humans are the most intelligent creatures on Earth. However, there are some people who prioritise their self-enjoyment and satisfaction. Even though they have the capacity to be both good and bad, they don't hesitate before being mean and harming others. In this digital age, viral videos have become a powerful tool that uncovers the dark side of certain persons. There are many instances captured on the camera that prove how mean certain people can be and how they can act stupidly just for enjoyment.
In the viral video, a man sitting inside a car can be seen signalling a hippopotamus to open its mouth by tempting it with a carrot. As the hippo opens its mouth, another man trashes a 'plastic bag' into the open mouth of the hippo. As per reports, the incident took place in Taman Safari Park in Indonesia. Certainly, the hippo was unaware of what the humans fed it and it started munching the 'plastic bag'.
The video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by non-aesthetic things has gone viral on social media and triggered outrage among netizens. The video has been viewed by over 2 million users and the comments section is flooded with outrageous notes from the netizens.
One user wrote, "Send them straight to jail" in the comment section and also urged for the arrest of the tourists." (sic)
Another wrote, "Those people should be banned from every safari park and not allowed near animals." (sic)
According to a report by Jakarta Globe, a Taman Safari Park spokesperson Alexander Zulkarnain informed that the traveller has been identified. He was identified by the license plate of the vehicle.
Jakarta Globe quoted Zulkarnain as saying, "We urge him to make a public apology to teach a lesson to other visitors about complying with the standard operating procedures at the Indonesian Safari Park."
"We have collected information from our guards and security cameras at the park. Guards told us that this particular visitor had been reprimanded several times for opening the window in the tiger area," he added.
As informed by Zulkarnain, the hippo underwent an examination and is currently in good health.
