Stones were pelted at a Maha Kumbh-bound train in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon, breaking the glass windows. Luckily, no devotees travelling in the train suffered any injuries. The incident has been reported from Taptiganga Express when it was travelling from Surat to Prayagraj.

Several videos of broken window glasses in the Express are now going viral. The videos recorded by the passengers have surfaced online, triggering panic among the Maha Kumbh devotees. As per sources, the incident occurred when the train was departing Jalgaon station.

According to reports, a stone was hurled at the window of coach B-6, shattering the glass window at berths 33-39. Passengers in the AC coach, horrified by the loud crash of the broken glass, promptly recorded videos and reported the incident to the authorities.

Popular X influencer, 'Sinha' shared the videos and wrote, “Multiple coaches were attacked... Passengers are claiming that it was a targeted attack because the train was going to Mahakumbh.”

“The train full of Hindu devotees going to #MahaKumbh was attacked in Jalgaon. Some "miscreants" pelted stones at it. Not a single Hindu festival or pilgrimage passes without facing an attack!” he further added.

Meanwhile, an official on duty said that a person has been identified who allegedly pelted stones and fled the spot after attacking the train. Jalgaon Railway Protection Force (RPF) has launched an investigation into the matter after registering a case.
