Every day we come across various heartbreaking incidents of people committing suicide. Of course, the reason for making the decision to end life varies from person to person. However, the cause could be emotional pain, trauma, loss and grief, substance abuse, chronic illness, overwhelming stress and pressure and lack of coping skills. Even societal and cultural factors could be another cause to instil the thought of committing suicide. Suicide is often the result of a combination of these factors.
Such disturbing visuals of people attempting or committing suicide are getting captured in CCTVs. Recently, one such visual surfaced on social media in which a girl attempts to kill herself by jumping in front of a running train. Luckily, her attempt not only failed but she escaped unhurt.
In the video, the girl can be seen standing on a platform with a bag on her shoulder. She seems like any other passenger waiting for the train's arrival on the platform. However, suddenly she throws her bag and jumps on the track. At the same time, a train arrives. As it seems, the girl heard the train approaching the platform and jumped on the track to end her life. Though the train runs over her, it slows down and stops instantly.
A few moments later, the girl walks out from beneath the train and hops onto the platform. She seems to be unhurt as she walks on the platform to pick up her bag. Next, she picks up her bag and walks away. Indeed, the girl escaped certain death miraculously.
Ending life is not the solution to the troubles one is facing. One should be strong enough to face the troubles bravely. People struggling with such conditions need immediate medical attention and support of close ones.
While the source of the video couldn't be verified, it is shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Prohibited on X with a caption reading, "ATTEMPT FAILED."
The scary video has gone viral on social media amassing massive views. Over 599K users have reached the video and the post is liked by over 5K users. Users have also flooded the comments section with their opinions.
One user wrote, "Imagine trying to kill yourself because you can't do anything right and you don't do it right." (sic)
Expressing surprise, another user wrote, "What??? omg, this must be fake that kid must be dead and his body is still pretending to be alive."
"Just picked up the bag and walked away like he just got off at his stop," wrote a third user. (sic)
