Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's Sanam Teri Kasam initially failed to perform well at the box office. Made at a budget of Rs 14 crore, the total collection of the movie was Rs 9.1 crore (domestic). However, Sanam Teri Kasam re-released on February 7, 2025, opened to a great response. According to Sacnilk, the opening-day collection was Rs 4.25 crore and the second-day earning was Rs 5.25 crore. Well, the response to the film is quite evident from the rising box office collections. Amid this, a video has surfaced on the internet that shows a 'heartbroken' fan crying inconsolably in a theatre.

Sanam Teri Kasam Makes Fan Emotional
In the viral video, a youth is seen rolling on the floors while the end credits scroll on the silver screen. He can be heard crying out loudly and from his gesture, it seems, he is deeply moved by the heartbreaking story of the movie and the song. The youth seems to be deeply affected in some way and the song triggered his emotions that made him cry.
While several other moviegoers can be seen walking out of the theatre and a few others can be seen dancing, the youth continues to cry. Towards the end of the clip, another youth tries to stop him.
Though the authenticity of the video couldn't be verified, as claimed, the incident was captured in a theatre in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
The clip is shared on X by a fan page dedicated to Marco star Unni Mukundan. The caption for the video reads, "North Indian people crying and heartbroken inside theatres after watching Sanam Teri Kasam re-release... Sanam Teri Kasam - A Cult Classic movie of Bollywood..." (sic)
The video has gone viral amassing views and likes. However, the video has triggered mixed reactions.

Notably, Sanam Teri Kasam has scripted history with its re-release by surpassing the original lifetime collections in just two days. However, a few reports claim that several moviegoers went to the theatres to watch the sequel, but got disappointed after knowing that it was a re-release. Well, the makers have officially confirmed a sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam on September 10, 2024. While Harshvardhan Rane will play the role of a lover again in the sequel, fans can expect the first glimpse anytime soon. It is speculated that the romantic-tragic saga will be a bigger heartbreak and might hit theatres by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
