‘Namaz Apne Seat Pe Padhiye’: TTE reprimands people offering namaz on train, blocking aisle in coach

A viral video of a few people of a particular community offering namaz in the middle of the aisle of a train coach has gone viral, creating uproar on social media. In the viral video, we can see people offering namaz in the aisle, thereby obstructing the passage.

The passengers used a plastic as a makeshift blanket and offer namaz in the passage. This is when the TTE arrives and asks them to read namaz on their seats instead of blocking the path and causing inconvenience to other passengers.

“Namaz Apne Seat Pe Padhiya (offer namaz on your seats),” the TTE says.

“Mazak Matt Banaiye Gaadi Ko, Yeh Kya Tarika Hai Kisi Ko Bhi Pareshan Kar Dijiyega, Road Jaam Kar Dijiyega, Road Pe Namaz Pad… Aap Logon Ka Mansikta Ko Kya Hogaya Hai. Yeh Kya Tarika Hai, Pura 72 Aadmi Disturb Ho Raha Hai Yahan Gaadi Mein. Soch Badaliye, Namaz Padhte Hain Toh Soch Ko Badaliye,” the TTE says which roughly translates to “Don’t make a joke of this train… What way is this, you read namaz on the path…. What has happened to your mentality? Change your thinking, if you read namaz, change your thinking.”

He also firmly says that he doesn’t allow in the trains he is in and asks the passengers to follow the rules. On being reprimanded, the passengers also cleared the passage and went back to their seats. 

Now, the TTE has been winning hearts online for handling the situation calmly, without causing any inconvenience to any other passenger or escalating the situation.
