Hindu married women, predominantly in Northern and Western India, observe Karva Chauth to celebrate the bond between husband and wife. Women observe fasting on this day for the well-being and long life of their husbands. This festival of married couples falls on the fourth day of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Kartik month of the Hindu lunar calendar. This year Karva Chauth falls on October 20 and 21. While all married women must be waiting for the day with high excitement, here we bring two videos that recently have gone viral on social media, just a few days ahead of Karva Chauth.

Apart from fasting, there are several other rituals associated with Karva Chauth. Preparing special thali (sargi), dressing in traditional attire, offering prayers to Goddess Gauri, creating a Karva, offering water to the moon, viewing the moon through a sieve (chalni) and looking at husband's face through the sieve. After all these rituals, women seek blessings from their husbands by touching their feet, as a gesture of paying respect.

However, the recent viral videos show two women climbing on their husbands, while carrying out the rituals of looking at the moon and their life partners through the sieve.

In the first video, a woman in red saree is seen climbing on her husband. While she rests one leg on her husband's leg, she clamps her other feet behind his neck while holding a puja thali. Next, she performs the Karva Chauth rituals of seeing the moon through the sieve and then husband's face. Next, she performs the other rituals.

The video is shared on Instagram by shalugymnast. The video has garnered millions of views and likes. It is even reshared by millions of users. However, most of the users vented their anger in the comments section.

The second video shows another woman in yellow saree who is already on her husband in the same position. She performs the sieve rituals. But she didn't had the puja thali. Instead, she rested her other hand on her waist.

The video is shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @AndcolorpockeT. This video has also garnered massive views and likes. Well, the comments section is flooded with hilarious and interesting comments. From the comments, it seems that both the women and their actions have left the users shocked.

Here's another video with the same theme.
