While several incidents of locals forcing outsiders to communicate in Kannada have surfaced, recently, a video stormed the internet that showed a local 'threatening' a restaurant manager/worker over an Odia billboard. And now, another incident has surfaced in which an online user has raised her voice against an Odia banner of Sri Jagannath Temple and demanded action.

Bengaluru is widely recognised as the IT capital of India. The Silicon City being home to many top Indian and international IT Firms, offers a wide range of job opportunities to tech professionals from across the country. However, Karnataka seems to be in a never-ending language tug-of-war. While several incidents of locals forcing outsiders to communicate in Kannada have surfaced, recently, a video stormed the internet that showed a local 'threatening' a restaurant manager/worker over an Odia billboard. And now, another incident has surfaced in which an online user has raised her voice against an Odia banner of Sri Jagannath Temple and demanded action.

'Rules Violated Here. Please Take Action'

Recently, a post has gone viral on social media in which an X user shared an image of an Odia banner, installed infront of Sri Jagannath Temple.

From the image, it seems, the temple is located in Shantivana, AMCO Layout Main Road, Sahakarnagar, Hebala, North Bengaluru. 

The banner has images of the Holy Trinity (Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra) on both sides. Sharing the image, a user going by the name malnadkoos, wrote, "Rules violated here. Please take action." (sic)

She also tagged the X handles of KDA_Bengaluru and BBMP Official in her post.

The post shared on March 3, 2025, has gone viral triggering mixed reactions from netizens.

Several users have stated in their comments not to involve Lord Jagannath in the 'language war' while some other users have appealed to end the 'language war' and hate against non-Kannadigas. Meanwhile, a few users have also stated that Bengaluru is getting 'intolerant'.

Meanwhile, another user stated that the picture shared recently is an old picture. He even shared the picture of the latest banner infront of the temple.
