Popular Pakistani TikToker Imsha Rehman is among the many influencers who were victims of private video leak. The young TikToker had to deactivate her social media account with millions of followers after her purported obscene clip circulated online.

Imsha was a target of trolls and social media scrutiny following the controversy. Following the leak, she was flooded with hate messages as netizens brutally trolled her for the explicit video. Despite all the trolling, Imsha maintained a dignified silence.

She has finally opened up on the controversy and explained why she was silent and how the video ruined her life. In a recent interview with Nukta Pakistan, Imsha called the viral video ‘fake’.

“When I saw the video, it felt like my life was over. I can’t go to university, I can’t face people, and I’m receiving a lot of death threats,” the TikToker said.

“Some people hiding behind social media think it’s cool to create and share videos of others. But, they don’t realise how it impacts lives,” she added. She even explained on why she did not defend herself on social media.

“When these videos went viral, I could have clarified the situation on my account. But, I chose the legal route to find out who was responsible,” she said.

She further revealed that the accused linked to the incident had been arrested by the Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The accused is in police custody, she said.

“A person named Abdul Aziz has been arrested for sharing the doctored videos. Officials confirmed that Aziz had been traced using IP logs,” she added.

Apart from Imsha, several other Pakistani content creators and influencers have also fallen victim to the fake viral videos. Actress Mathira Khan was among the top TV personalities whose ‘fake’ video was allegedly leaked online.
