A Bengaluru techie has voiced his frustration over the city's skyrocketing real estate prices, highlighting the issue with a striking photograph of water leaking into his room. This image highlights the growing concerns about the affordability and quality of housing in one of India's major tech hubs.
Ripudaman, a 22-year-old engineer, shared a picture of water leaking into his room in a ₹1.5 crore apartment.
''My room in 1.5CR apartment 5th/16th floor is leaking water These expensive buildings are such a scam bro! The civil engineer inside me can't comprehend this,'' he wrote on X while sharing a picture that shows dampness on the ceiling.
His photo starkly contrasts the high cost of living in Bengaluru with the subpar quality of construction in some of the city’s premium buildings.
The post has ignited a heated discussion on X, with hundreds of users sharing their experiences and concerns about Bengaluru's real estate sector. Many echoed Ripudaman's frustration, criticizing the city's developers for prioritizing profits over quality construction. Some advised him to investigate the cause of the leak and consider taking legal action if necessary.
One user wrote, “You have to find the root cause Like if it's due to plumbing or water accumulation and see page And then proper sealing is required.”
Another wrote, “You are not alone. It’s even more common in 3crore plus high rise apartments with 30 plus floors … relax .”
A third person commented, “The price paid for premium apartments is always for premium position, premium address, premium brand, premium society, premium utilities and never for premium construction.”
