Elephants are large majestic animals and none in the forest dares to confront them. Because of their huge size and strength, violent carnivores like lions and tigers even avoid face-offs with them. Even though the jumbos enjoy a majestic status, they are quite compassionate and instances have been found when they help other animals in need.
Recently, a video that went viral on social media has been widely appreciated by netizens. The video shows a jumbo saving a deer fawn's life from a crocodile's killer jaws.
As seen in the video, a herd of elephants can be seen standing near a pond. At the same time, the deer fawn can be seen jumping while trying to save itself from the crocodile. The crocodile could have ended fawn’s life but one of the jumbos intervened and kicked the reptile. The deer fawn instantly jumped out of the water to a safer place. However, the elephant didn’t stop there. It continued to kick the crocodile and also punches it with its tusk.
Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter with a caption reading: If they can be compassionate, Why can’t we?
Meanwhile, the video has garnered massive views and won the hearts of netizens. Viewers have flooded the comments section appreciating the compassionate elephant. Moreover, they also have showered love on the jumbo.
