In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad, a bride called off her wedding midway when rituals were underway citing the groom’s shortcomings. Later, the bride tied the knot with her lover the next day.
According to a Kharwala 24 report, the wedding of a girl of Janpad of Firozabad district was fixed with a youth on 16 May. On the scheduled date, the groom arrived at the bride's home and the wedding rituals were going ahead smoothly till the bride came to the wedding stage for saat pheras.
Reportedly, the bride after arriving at the mandap refused to tie the knot citing the groom’s inefficiency. She walked out of the mandap despite the persuasion from her family and groom’s side. She was adamant about her decision.
Later, both the families decided to call off the wedding. The very next day, the bride got married to her lover.
As per reports, the bride’s lover had threatened her due to which she had refused to marry the groom.
On the other hand, the groom’s family had fixed his marriage with another girl with the help of relatives to save the reputation of the family.
They said that the groom had no problem but the bride deliberately lied to cancel the marriage.
