Bartering is one of the oldest methods of trading in which goods are exchanged directly. This ancient form of trading practices by humans involved no money. However, it would be definitely surprising to see any animal opting for a bartering method for food. Isn't it? Recently, a video surfaced on social media that shows a squirrel exchanging dried leaves and fruits in exchange for fresh nuts.
The video shows a squirrel waiting outside a window. The squirrel is also seen holding something in its mouth, seemingly a dried leaf or fruit. It waits outside the window until a person opens it. As soon as the window opens, it enters inside. The person had some nuts on the palm. The squirrel immediately puts down the dried leaf and picks up the fresh nut.
The squirrel happily starts removing the hard outer layer of the nut. Meanwhile, the woman pats the squirrel and brushes on its back. But, it didn't panic or move away. Next, the woman brushes the chest of the squirrel and keeps her hand close to the cute creature. But, the squirrel continues to focus on removing the nutshell.

The video has won the hearts of netizens which is evident from the likes and comments. Meanwhile, a few others opined that the squirrel could be a pet. However, the authenticity of the claims couldn't be verified. But, the bartering skill of the squirrel is certainly cute and heart-winning.
