New Delhi: Hope Gaur, a veteran broadcaster and former senior producer of All India Radio (AIR), passed away in the capital after a brief illness, her family said today.

90-year-old Gaur, who headed the Western Music Department in the AIR, breathed her last at her residence in south Delhi`s Munirka late Friday night.

Gaur, who was born in Lucknow on October 12, 1922, worked with the AIR for over 30 years and retired in 1983. She hosted popular programmes like `A Date with You` and `The Forces Request`. Gaur is survived by her son Jay Gaur.
