Jammu: Remembering Rabindranath Tagore, a two-day literary festival in tribal and regional Languages of Jammu and Kashmir was inaugurated here on Thursday.

The festival `Remembering Tagore`, organised by the Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation (TRCF), was inaugurated by Public Health Engineering and Irrigation Minister Choudhary Taj Mohi-ud Din.

"It is the first-ever event in the state where the writer fraternity representing seven tribal and regional languages of the state will discuss life, vision, work and philosophy of Tagore," TRCF Secretary Javaid Rahi said.

Appreciating efforts of the foundation to host the event, Taj Mohi-ud Din said Tagore`s vision on universal brotherhood vibrates well in today`s world and expressed hope the festival will disseminate the message and philosophy of Tagore in local languages as well.
