Rourkela: Two persons were arrested and a country made pistol with cartridges were seized from them in Sundargarh town, the police said today. Town police station IIC, Sidharth Panda said Vinod Singh and Siba Tiwari were arrested when loitering in a suspicious manner in Bhojpur area late on Tuesday night.

As the duo tried to flee on seeing the police, they were chased and caught, he said. They were involved in several criminal activities in Bonei and Lahunipara areas, police said. Both were forwarded to court at Sundargarh which remanded them to jail custody today.
