Berhampur: A day after surrendering before police, the man accused of killing his wife and two sons has confessed to have committed the gruesome murder at Kaliabali in Ganjam, police said on Wednesday.
The accused, Hadibandhu Dora, eliminated the trio while they were in deep sleep. Following this, Dora surrendered before Chamakhandi police and cited family feud as the prime reason behind this heinous act.
According to the brother-in-law of the accused, Dora had established extramarital affair with a distant relative. When family members strongly opposed to this, they entered into an altercation which eventually led to the unfortunate incident.
“Post-mortem has been carried out on the bodies and the weapon used in the crime has been seized,” said Arpita Khatua, OIC, Chamakhandi police station.
