Bolangir: A triple murder at the nearby village has sent flutter in the town and its adjacent areas. A mother along with her two daughters have been brutally killed on late Thursday night. The victims have been identified as Duti Meher and her two daughters, Suru Meher and Meena Meher.
The mother Duti Meher had lost her husband about two years ago. The death of the main bread earner of the family had pushed the entire family to sheer penury. Adding more trouble to Duti’s miseries was her only mentally challenged son. Duti’s two daughters ran a beauty parlor to eek out a living.
Though the local police are yet to identify the alleged killers and establish the motive behind the murders, deep cut marks on the throats of the victims indicated that sharp weapons were used by the killers. The area remained tense and local shop owners shut down business in protest.
