Mishra caught the attention of everyone after his video clip surfaced on the internet. During the interaction with the news channel's reporter, Mishra claimed that he lost Rs 96 lakh due to his online mobile gaming addiction. He also claimed that he scored 98% in IIT-JEE. He made the internet emotional by crying and saying that his family disowned him after he cheated on them multiple times. He instantly made the media person emotional by saying that if he died on the road, none of his family members would come to claim his body.

Undeniably, Mishra's story will move anyone and make them emotional. However, his claims do not seem to be true.

Himanshu Mishra is a 'Fraud'!

The report by Dainik Bhaskar states that Mishra is from Kanpur, and a person who helped him, contacted the news portal and claimed that Mishra is a 'fraud'. Moreover, they also have filed a complaint against him at Kakadev Police Station.

Further, the news portal contacted the concerned persons of Kanpur. A person identified as Akshay Trivedi shared with the news portal that after Mishra's video went viral, he instantly identified him.

As shared by Trivedi, a month earlier in August, he went to Nirakshir Square for some work during mid-day. Suddenly, Mishra came to him carrying some pens and requested to purchase them. Seeing Mishra crying, Trivedi inquired about his details. While sobbing, Mishra said that he hailed from Bihar's Gaya and he wanted to continue his studies but due to the financial constraints of his family, he couldn't. Mishra also said that he had not taken food since morning.

Trivedi took him to a nearby 'dhaba' and ordered him some food. He also made arrangements for his accommodation. He also promised to help him so that he can pursue his studies. However, a few days later, Mishra left the place.

At the hotel, Mishra told the owner that he would not stay free of cost, instead, he would work there. The hotel owner informed the portal that he looked helpless and cried frequently. Mishra repeatedly talked about pursuing studies and the hotel owner thought that he was quite curious and interested in it. Thus, he got him admitted into SSC coaching free of cost and allowed him to stay. However, after four days he was gone.

He had left his book and Aadhar Card in the room. Earlier, when the hotel owner asked for his phone number, he said that he sold his mobile to purchase a book. Through his Aadhar Card, it was found that he hailed from UP's Kanpur and not Bihar's Gaya.

He even attended the coaching class for 2 days and left. Even at the coaching centre there, he stated that his parents were dead and there was no one who would help him. He carried a reasoning book to the class. The teacher asserted that whatever Mishra narrated was false.

Family Disowned Him

Continuing the inquiry, the portal reached out to his brother he denied discussing anything about Himanshu Mishra as for him the entire family remains disturbed and confirmed that they have disowned him.

As per the report, his father works as a security guard at a factory in Dadanagar and his mother is a homemaker. His father Kaushal Kumar Mishra's income is in the lower income group. Recently, his family built a house in Kanpur's Akbarpur. However, another neighbour claimed that his mother was a teacher and she had passed away. The family had relocated to Bihar.
