Youth leaves lion ‘confused’ after jumping into zoo enclosure; watch

Just like any other animal, human behaviour is unpredictable. Sometimes, humans behave strangely, be it under the influence of substance abuse or due to deteriorated mental condition. Under such circumstances, people either cause harm to themselves or may turn violent toward others.

However, there are rare cases when humans have jumped in front of wild carnivores. The consequences are quite difficult to predict as such humans either die or get grievously injured. However, a few lucky individuals were able to step away from the wild animals without any injury.

Recently, an old video emerged on social media in which a youth can be seen inside a lion enclosure. In the viral video, the youth can be seen sitting on a rock close to the lion inside the enclosure. As it seems, the youth is talking with the lion. For a moment, the youth sleeps on the rock.

Suddenly, the big cat initiates its first step to attack but the youth stands up and moves around. The lion seems to be confused and continues to stay close to the uninvited human. After a while, the youth signals the lion to a direction and the big cat starts moving ahead. However, it turns back to the human and preps up for its second attack but refrains.

Meanwhile, the crowd outside the enclosure can be heard screaming out loud.

As per reports, the incident took place in October 2019 at a zoo in Delhi. As claimed, the 25-year-old mentally unstable man leaped into the lion’s enclosure and came face to face with the big cat. Later, he was rescued by the zoo staff after tranquillising the animal.

The youth, Rehan Khan, a resident of Bihar, jumped around 20 feet down into the enclosure and walked to the lion. He was rescued without any injury.

Indian Forest Services (IFS) official Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter with a caption reading: High in Spirits… After gulping few pegs this idiot got inside the lion cage. Lion is confused- from the aroma & the stupidity (sic)

Now, after several years, the video has once again resurfaced on social media leaving netizens shocked. While users expressed concerns about the human, several others hit out at the youth for such a bizarre act.
