Tina Dabi, Jaisalmer's District Collector, has requested the Rajasthan state government to put her on a non-field posting in Jaipur, as she is expecting her first child in September this year. She is set to proceed on maternity leave.
In a letter to the state government, Tina Dabi stated that being off the field would not put an excessive workload on her.
Dabi is reportedly expecting a transfer to Jaipur in the coming days. Until the transfer list is received and the formalities are completed, she will continue her work as the Jaisalmer Collector.
Tina Dabi has made all necessary arrangements to move from Jaisalmer to Jaipur and she is hopeful of receiving the transfer order in the next couple of days.
Several elderly Pakistani women who were displaced and were seeking resettlement last month had blessed Tina Dabi with the hope of having a son. However, she replied that she does not differentiate between having a son and a daughter.
Notably, Tina got married to IAS officer Pradeep Gawande in April last year after her divorce from Athar Aamir Khan, the second topper of the 2015 batch of UPSC.
Dabi and Khan tied the knot in 2018 after dating for years. In November 2020, the couple filed for divorce in a Jaipur court, which was subsequently officialised in August 2021.
