A 24-year-old woman and her 28-year-old male companion have been arrested for allegedly recording and uploading obscene videos in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. The matter came to the fore after the accused duo allegedly uploaded a video involving a 70-year-old man on a pornographic website.
The accused woman, a resident of Dodaghat in Uttar Pradesh and reportedly a software engineer, and the man from Vaishali, Bihar, were apprehended by police in Noida and subsequently brought to Jaisalmer for investigation.
According to authorities, the duo filmed the video in a remote area near Tanot, Jaisalmer. The footage reportedly shows the woman luring an elderly shepherd, who was grazing his sheep and goats, to a car parked in a secluded location. The accused man remained in the driver’s seat while the woman allegedly engaged the man in sexually explicit acts, which were recorded on camera. The video was later uploaded to a pornographic website.
The victim’s son discovered the video online and approached the police, prompting an FIR to be registered at the Tanot police station. The Jaisalmer police took swift action, initiating an investigation and coordinating with cybercrime officials to trace the origins of the video.
Both accused face serious charges under sections related to obscenity, sexual exploitation, and IT Act violations. Police are also probing the motive behind the act, including whether it was done for financial gain or as part of a larger operation.
The elderly victim is reportedly in a state of shock, and police have assured him and his family of full legal support and protection as the case proceeds.
