In a remarkable turn of events at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum a day after the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, and went near Lord Ram's Utsav idol, said Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The incident, deemed by security personnel as a possible divine occurrence, unfolded around 5:50 pm on Tuesday evening.
The Trust in a social media post on X, shared about it terming it as a beautiful moment at the Ram Temple that devotees were soon to assume that Lord Hanuman himself had come to offer prayers to Ram Lalla.
As per the post, the monkey entered through the southern gate, and approached the Utsav idol. Observing this, security personnel rushed towards the monkey, fearing it might disturb the ceremonial idol.
However, the monkey calmly retreated towards the northern gate as the police approached. Unable to exit through the closed gate, it eventually left through the eastern gate, navigating through the crowd without causing any disruption.
Notably, this surprising occurrence follows the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Meanwhile, more than five lakh devotees flocked to the Ram Temple as it opened its doors to the public for the first time.
Despite occasional challenges in crowd control, officials swiftly managed the situation, ensuring a hassle-free and memorable darshan of Ram Lalla.
