Cracking one of the toughest exams in the world, the UPSC, is no small feat. UPSC, known for its rigorous selection process, is a formidable challenge even for toppers.
However, Anuradha Pal's story proves that with hard work, determination and perseverance, one can achieve one's dreams.
According to a DNA report, hailing from a small village in Haridwar, Anuradha faced financial challenges during her upbringing. Her father supported the family by selling milk.
Despite these obstacles, she completed her education at Haridwar's Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Recognising the need for better opportunities, Anuradha moved to Delhi for her college studies, pursuing a Bachelor of Technology at GB Pant University.
After a stint at Tech Mahindra, she decided to embark on her IAS journey. Working as a lecturer in Roorkee, she managed to study for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) simultaneously and secured an All India Rank 429, despite initial challenges.
However, she wanted to reappear for the exam and she enrolled in Delhi's Nirvana IAS Academy, where she refined her preparation strategy. Balancing her responsibilities, she focused on breaking down her study sessions into manageable segments and diligently covered NCERT books.
Her dedication paid off when she reapplied for the CSE in 2015, and secured an impressive All India Rank 62.
Currently serving as the District Magistrate of Bageshwar in Uttarakhand, Anuradha Pal's journey underscores the power of perseverance and strategic planning, serving as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring UPSC candidates.
