Premchand Godha, who began his professional journey as a chartered accountant and managed finances for acting legend Amitabh Bachchan, built a company worth Rs 28000 crore with his relentless determination, financial expertise and strategic efforts. Here's a sneak peek into his inspiring journey.

Premchand Godha was born into a farmer's family in Rajasthan. He began his professional journey by managing finances for Bachchan. His association with the Megastar opened doors to new opportunities which included a pivotal role in the Ipca laboratories. In 1975, he joined Ipca, which was a struggling pharmaceutical company at the time. Collaborating closely with the Bachchan family, especially Jaya Bachchan, Godha set out to revive the company.

With his relentless determination, financial expertise and strategic efforts, Godha laid the groundwork for transforming the company. His efforts proved instrumental and it catapulted Ipca into a leading pharmaceutical company. Under his leadership, Ipca Laboratories witnessed meteoric growth. From a modest revenue of Rs 54 lakh, Ipca Laboratories' annual turnover expanded to Rs 4422 crore. 

In 1999, the Bachchan family sold their stake in Ipca due to financial challenges. However l, Godha remained firm and guided the company towards unprecedented success. With his vision and dedication, Godha not only revived Ipca but made it a major player in the global pharmaceutical industry.

As per current reports, Ipca Laboratories' annual turnover is recorded at over Rs 28000 crore. Ipca produces critical treatments for diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, malaria and pain management.

Even Godha's personal wealth reflects his professional achievements. According to Financial Express, his wealth exceeds Rs 10800 crore ($1.3 billion approx).
