Popularly eaten for breakfast, Idli is one of the most loved South Indian delicacies. It tastes the best with hot sambar and coconut chutney.
However, a bizarre food combination using the humble idli has irked social media users. A picture has surfaced online that shows Idli in Kulfi style. It is called as ‘Kulfi idli’. The bizarre food combination has left social media user divided.
Social media user @VisitUdupi shared the picture and wrote, “Kulfi Idli.” In the picture, we can see idlis carved in the shape of a kulfi. They have a stick attached just like ice-cream.
Since being shared online, the post has garnered over 55.8K views, with 857 likes and counting. Several idli lovers reacted after the post went viral. They took to the comments section to express their thoughts about the food combination.
Many argued that it would take away the originality of the famous breakfast while others found it innovative and expressed their willingness to try it.
“Come on guys, let’s no ruin the real idli tradition, idli is perfect the way it is, it doesn’t need different shapes from what it already is,” commented a user.
