Indian student in UK admits to inappropriate act in woman’s room
An Indian student studying in the United Kingdom has confessed to entering a fellow student’s room without permission and performing a sexual act involving her bedcovers and soft toys. Udkarsh Yadav, an 18-year-old civil engineering undergraduate at Northumbria University in Newcastle, broke into the room of a female student during the Christmas holidays and committed the "disgusting and selfish" act, as per Chronicle Live.

Yadav is a first-year student from India pursuing civil engineering at Northumbria University. His father reportedly runs a construction business in India.
What Happened?
Newcastle Crown Court was told that Yadav entered a fellow student’s room while she was away for Christmas break. Once inside the room, he masturbated on her bed and soft toys, leaving bodily fluids on the items before leaving.
How Did He Access the Room?
Yadav used a gym key card that, due to a university error, granted access to all rooms in the Trinity Square student accommodation in Gateshead. This card allowed him to enter the woman’s room even though it was not assigned to him.
How Was the Incident Discovered?
The female student returned after the holidays to find an unusual white substance on her bed and soft toys. Prosecutor Jennifer Coxon said that digital key card records first pointed to Yadav as the suspect. A subsequent DNA test confirmed his involvement.
