Bengaluru, the IT Hub of India, woke up to knee-deep water and localised water logging across various parts of the city following heavy rains early this morning. The capital city of Karnataka caused severe traffic disruptions due to the water logging, affecting vehicular movements.
Office goers had a harrowing time with waterlogged streets making many routes impassable. Several parts of the city are submerged under knee-deep water with commuters experiencing significant inconvenience.
Angry netizens took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent out their frustration due to the negligent attitude of the administration and ruling Congress government.
“Skydeck for aerial view & Tunnel roads for the real feel of waterlogging & traffic jams in BENGALURU. Visionary plans for the city by the administration 👏🫡 Huge waterlogging & traffic jams in the city after heavy #BengaluruRains,” shared a user.
Another netizen wrote, “Where is BBMP commissioner? Is he on holiday? Is he aware of problems Bangaloreans are facing?”
“In yet another daily meeting inside an A/c office outsourcing SWD clearance works to BTP. Govts come and go. BBMP will never change,” shared another user.
