The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the world's largest religious gathering, has brought together people from all walks of life to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Maha Kumbh boasts a diverse assembly of spiritual figures, and social media is getting flooded with visuals from the grand spiritual event. However, a few videos have triggered discussions. Recently, a video of IITian Baba has taken the internet by storm.
Formerly known as Abhey Singh Grewal, Masani Gorakh was once an Aerospace Engineering student at the prestigious IIT Bombay. However, he quit his promising career in science and embraced the path of spirituality. He is now a full-fledged devotee of Lord Shiva.

During an interview with CNN-News 18, Gorakh shared his journey from studying Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay to making a major life change and devoting his life to spirituality.

The Sadhu revealed that he hails from Haryana and after graduating from IIT Bombay, he acquired a Masters degree in design. Moreover, he also revealed that he is an expert in photography. He also shared his expertise by tutoring students in Physics. Further, in his quest to understand the 'meaning of life,' he also took courses in philosophy. He delved into philosophical concepts like post-modernism and the works of Socrates and Plato.
"I now understand that this is real knowledge. If you have to understand the mind or mental health, then you can do it (through spirituality)," he said during the interview.
"If you keep pursuing knowledge, where do you reach? This is where you reach," he added.
Further, when asked about the reason for laughing, he replied, "Who knows when everything will end. I will die laughing."
Notably, Gorakh is quite active on social media and keeps posting videos on Instagram sharing about his spiritual journey.
