Tigress rescued in Nagpur

Nagpur: A tigress, who accidentally strayed in Katlabodi village about 35 km near here and fell into a well was rescued by the forest department today, sources said.

The three-year-old tigress was tranquilised by a team of forest officials and successfully brought out of the well, sources in the department said adding that the big cat was later taken to a local zoo for checkup and treatment.

Police was deployed in good number to prevent on lookers from disturbing the forest team, the sources added.
