Gorakhpur: A 17-year-old boy was shot dead allegedly by unknown assailants in Indira Nagar locality, police said today.

Chandan (17) was seriously injured last evening when the four assailants shot him at point blank range with a country made pistol. He he had gone to meet his friends in the area, they said.

After the incident, he was rushed to a district hospital where the teenager was declared brought dead. Personal animosity may be the reason behind the crime, they added.
