Rewari: A teenaged girl was kidnapped and raped allegedly by a youth, who has been arrested, police said on Tuesday.
 
Umesh was apprehended from a village here for allegedly kidnapping the 16-year-old girl, a student of Class XII, from Bhakli village near Kosli on Friday.
 
After abducting her, the girl was allegedly raped repeatedly by him, they added.
 
The girl was rescued from him yesterday, they said, adding that her medical examination confirmed sexual assault.
 
A case of abduction, rape and under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the accused.
 
Umesh was produced in a Kosli court today which remanded him in 14-day judicial custody.
