The Meta-owned WhatsApp messaging app consistently provides top features for its users.

Recently, WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature that allows users to react to a message by simply double-tapping it, similar to Instagram’s DM feature.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature is currently in the testing phase and will be available in the coming months.

It will enable users to quickly respond to media content, including photos, videos, and GIFs, without leaving the viewer's screen, making interactions faster and more convenient.

Currently, WhatsApp users can react to messages by pressing and holding on media files or text messages, which can be time-consuming.

The new double-tap feature will streamline communication by allowing users to react with a default heart emoticon.

WhatsApp has not officially announced this feature yet, but WABetaInfo reports that it is expected to be included in an upcoming update.

In addition, WhatsApp is working on several other Instagram-like features to better meet user demands.
