After a long wait, Google has finally introduced message editing in Google Messages as part of RCS (Rich Communication Services).
Along with this feature, Google has announced the top 7 other features for Android users in a recent blog post. Let's take a look at these top features below:
Message Editing
Users can now edit or add text to RCS messages by tapping and holding a message.
This feature helps fix typos and avoiding the need to send another message with an asterisk mark.
Editing is available for up to 15 minutes after sending the message.
Instant Hotspot
Soon, users will be able to connect an Android tablet or Chromebook to a smartphone's hotspot with a single tap.
This eliminates the hassle of entering a password.

Google Meet Device Switching
During a Google Meet call, users can switch between devices easily using the Cast icon across Android smartphones, tablets, or internet browsers.

Google will roll out new Emoji Kitchen sticker combinations soon.
Users can remix their favorite emojis, perfect for festival seasons, and share them via Gboard.
Google Home Favourites Widget
Android users can now add a Google Home Favorites widget to the home screen.
This widget helps manage and control frequently used smart devices, such as checking room temperature or turning off lights.
It is available in Public Preview for users who sign up for the test.

Google announced that Wallet users in Germany and the US can now make payments with PayPal from a Wear OS watch.
Digital Car Keys
Google has introduced digital car keys for select MINI models, with plans to extend to select Mercedes-Benz and Polestar vehicles soon.
