Meta-owned Instagram is constantly adding features to enhance user experience on its platform.
Recently, Instagram launched the Creator Lab, which offers educational resources tailored for creators, during an event in Mumbai.
At the same event, Instagram introduced three new features designed to boost engagement on the platform, focusing on Stories, Notes, and Stories Edits.
One of the new features is "Comments in Stories." This allows users to comment on someone’s story, and these comments will be visible to other users.
To use this feature, when watching a Reel, users can tap on a comment they like, select the option to add it to their own Story, and then post it along with the Reel video.
Another exciting update is the ability to create stickers from image cutouts. Instagram will soon let users use these cutouts as stickers in chats.
Additionally, a new Birthday Notes feature will be introduced, displaying a birthday hat icon in the Notes section to celebrate users’ birthdays.
Finally, Instagram is enhancing Story editing with professional-level tools. Users can now customize text in Stories with new fonts, animations, and effects, including typewriter, pop, and jump animations.
Users can also apply glowing effects like sparkle and neon to their text.
