In a major setback in his career, swashbuckling batter Prithvi Shaw remained unsold in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. he missed an IPL season for the first time since his debut in 2018.
Now, a recent development has triggered fans to expect Shaw's return to IPL 2025 in its second phase. Shaw recently posted a cryptic message to his Instagram story. Following the development, fans were left to wonder what the Mumbai batter was suggesting through it.
Shaw posted a simple three-word message on his story, simply writing: “Need a break,” along with an emoji.
Notably, Shaw last played competitive top-level cricket during Mumbai’s victorious Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign in December, participating in the final as his team lifted the trophy against Madhya Pradesh.
After an impressive start to his career, Shaw failed to perform consistently and his career didn’t pan out quite the same way as discipline and fitness issues proved to be obstacles to his immense talent.
