However many times you watch Shane Warne’s “ball of the century” - and we’ll watch it a million times today - it never gets more explicable. His first ball in England as a test player, and it still moves like it has magic in it. pic.twitter.com/wvsSltZxrX

While bowling his first ball against England in the first Ashes Test in 1993, the spin wizard bowled the right-handed Gatting, who is known for his expertise against spin bowling, by pitching the ball almost two feet outside the leg-stump. The ball spun extra extravagantly and ended up off the batter’s off-stump.
The incredible delivery made Warne a superstar in his very first Ashes appearance and he became the defining moment in the history of wrist spin bowling. Gatting had absolutely no idea of what happened to him. With a single extraordinary delivery, Warne cast a spell over England.
Whenever asked about ‘The Ball’, Warne modestly insisted that it was ‘bit of a fluke’, but he was not fooling anyone!
