Legendry cricketers Sir Vivian Richards from West Indies and Javed Miandad from Pakistan were fierce competitors on the field.
They were great match winners for their respective teams. Richards blistered his way in the cricket pilling up 8,540 runs from 121 Tests with an impressive average of 50.23 which included 24 centuries and 45 half-centuries. Similarly, Miandad notched up 8832 runs from 124 Tests with an average of 52.57 in his career. He struck 23 tons and 43 half centuries.
Recently, both Richards and Miandad were found together on the sidelines of the Pakistan Junior League where they have been appointed as mentors of two different teams. The former greats were seen engaged in a funny cycling race that put the gathered fans in splits.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also tweeted the funny video which has so far garnered 12.7K likes.
Cricket fans hailed both the legends with a flood of comments in the video.
“Real Legends and arguably the greats of the game,” wrote a fan.
“What a moment,” commented another fan.
Notably, Miandad recently observed that captainship is taking a toll on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.
The former Pakistan great batter suggested that the communication should be clear between Babar and PCB over the matter. The observation came amid criticism of Babar’s dwindling strike rate in recent times.
