The famous statement ‘tea is fantastic’ by an Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been a source of memes for Pakistani social media users. The trend started ever since Abhinandan was captured during an airstrike by Indian Air Force in Balakot.

After Abhinandan was captured by Pakistan Army during the airstrike, a video surfaced on social media where the captured pilot was found enjoying Pakistani tea. Abhinandan appreciated the quality of the Pakistani tea and said, “The tea is fantastic.”

It seems like there are more admirers of Pakistan’s tea. Recently, England’s Test captain Ben Stokes appreciated the quality of the tea during a press conference after the conclusion of the first Test match between Pakistan and England at Rawalpindi.

During the press conference, a Pakistan journalist asked Stokes about the quality of the tea in the country, trying to get an answer to troll the Indian Air Force pilot.

However, Ben did not understand the context of the situation. He appreciated the quality of the tea in the country by saying that ‘the tea was brilliant.’

The video clip has now gone viral over social media platforms. It has evoked mixed reactions from the fans. While some fans slammed the journalist for the irrelevant question, others praised the Indian Wing Commander for his bravery.

“I don’t have any words for our journalists man...like wth,” wrote a fan. “I don’t have any words for Indian Airforce man...like wth,” commented another fan.

Notably, Stokes led England to a historic victory over Pakistan in the first Test match.
