Virender Sehwag reacts bluntly after MS Dhoni denies ‘last IPL season’ claim

While interacting with Danny Morrison during the toss before the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni sent the internet into a frenzy when he sensationally denied that IPL 2023 would be his last season as an active cricketer.

Though the veteran wicketkeeper batsman himself dropped hints about his retirement after IPL 2023 on multiple occasions during the presentation ceremonies, Dhoni’s latest response to the query has surprised several fans and experts.

However, the former swashbuckling India opener Virender Sehwag, who has shared the dressing room with Dhoni for a large part of his career, reacted to the Captain Cool’s response in a brilliant manner.

As per the former whirlwind batter, commentators and fans should leave Dhoni alone and wait for his decision instead of repeatedly asking the veteran cricketer about his future.

“I just don’t understand why do they even ask Dhoni this kind of question repeatedly? Even if it’s last year, why do you have to ask him again and again? It’s his call and let him take that! Whether it’s his last year or not, only MS Dhoni knows. There is no point in asking that question always,” Sehwag said in a blunt fashion.
