A day after former India skipper Sourav Ganguly reportedly refused to shake hands with RCB star Virat Kohli, the star batsman has reportedly unfollowed dada on photo-sharing app Instagram.
The move comes a day after the former BCCI President didn’t shake hands with Kohli after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 23 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
A video of Ganguly jumping the queue to ignore Kohli has been going viral on social media. Virat Kohli only followed 276 people on Instagram and Sourav Ganguly was one of them.
The rift between the two former skippers has been going on for a long time now. If reports are to be believed, Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly did not see eye to eye during when the former was the caption of the Indian cricket team and dada served as the BCCI President.
Later, Kohli stepped down as T20I captain and was subsequently replaced by Rohit Sharma as ODI captain during Ganguly’s term as BCCI chief.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is in terrific form in the IPL 2023 and has scored 214 runs in just four games. He has a strike rate of 147.58. He has been good with his bats and has smashed three half centuries against Mumbai Indians (MI), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC).
Kohli’s RCB will take on MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) today i.e. April 17.
