The prolific batsman hailed Dhoni as the greatest finisher in the game and his tweet was liked by numerous sports fans across the country.
“Anddddd the king is back the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight. @msdhoni,” Kohli wrote on his Twitter handle on October 10 as Dhoni smashed 18 runs off just six balls against DC.
So far the tweet has got 530.3K likes, 11.3k replies and 97.7k retweets by numerous Dhoni fans.
The methodology used by Twitter was based on the total number of retweets/likes by Twitter accounts in India between January 1 and November 15, 2021.
Notably, Dhoni and Kohli were reunited at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 where Dhoni was roped in as a mentor. However, the Indian team let their fans down by performing miserably and failing to reach the semifinals.
