Virat Kohli heartbroken, smashes water bottle in anger as RCB knocked out of IPL 2023

Despite Virat Kohli’s heroics against Gujarat Titans in the must-win clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB suffered a humiliating defeat and failed to qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2023.

Virat Kohli hit his 7th IPL century, but the RCB bowlers failed to defend a respectable total of 197 after Shubman Gill smashed his second consecutive IPL century.

The loss leaves RCB in another trophy-less season as they have never won an IPL trophy. Meanwhile, a video of Virat Kohli getting heartbroken and smashing a water bottle in anger after the loss has been going viral.

Soon after Shubman Gill hit the winning six, Kohli looked devastated and hid his face with his cap. Angrily, he picked up a water bottle near him and smashed it on the ground. He looked totally heartbroken as all his efforts to win an IPL trophy went in vain.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) is likely to take on MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first qualifier. On the other hand, the eliminator match will take place between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Mumbai Indians (MI).
