Virat Kohli
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly trying to convince star batsman Virat Kohli to reconsider his decision about retirement from Test cricket. However, as per sources, the efforts are reportedly not producing the desired outcome.
As per reports, Kohli is keen to retire from Test cricket and he has already informed about his plan to BCCI. Though a highly influential figure in the Indian cricketing spectrum has reportedly been asked to intervene in the matter, it has been learnt that Kohli doesn't want to change his stance.
Following Rohit Sharma's retirement from the longest format of the game, Kohli was reportedly asked to re-evaluate his decision on quitting Test cricket.
Though BCCI spoke to Kohli over the matter, highlighting how important his presence in India's highly inexperienced middle order is, it has been learnt that the prolific batter has already made up his mind.
