Team India star batsman Virat Kohli surpassed legendry batter Sachin Tendulkar’s record of the highest number of ODI century in the first semifinal of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Kohli (117, 113b, 9x4, 2x6) completed his 5oth ton in presence of the Master Blaster in the grand stadium. Subsequently, showing respect to the Master Blaster, Kohli bowed down to him while celebrating his 50th ton in ODIs. The entire country wanted him to do that and he has done it in tremendous fashion.

Team India rode on scintillating centuries by star batsman Virat Kohli (117, 113b, 9x4, 2x6) and Shreyas Iyer (105, 70b, 4x4, 8x6) to score a mammoth total of 397 for the loss of four wickets.
Kohli has also gone past Tendulkar’s record for most runs in a single World Cup during his ton. He has gone past 673 runs which Tendulkar made in the 2003 World Cup.
