Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Virat Kohli made headlines for all the wrong reason during their encounter against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) last night.

Kohli got into a heated altercation with LSG mentor and former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir.

Hours after the game, Kohli came up with a cryptic Instagram story. “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is the perspective, not the truth,” the story read.

Notably, this is a famous quote from Marcus Aurelius – who was a Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD.

The story has reportedly gone viral. It has garnered around 5,000 likes and several comments so far.

Reacting to Kohli’s post, a fan wrote, “What Is Good Sportsmanship? Good sportsmanship is when people who are playing or watching a sport treat each other with respect. This includes players, coaches and officials.”

“I remember Virat’s signature style when he crushed the West Indian bowler. It will be interesting to see if Naveen plays for Afghanistan in the World Cup this year; no doubt, Virat will exact his retribution with his bat. We’re all familiar with his vengeful nature,” commented another fan.

Following the victory in the low-scoring match, Kohli tweeted, “Amazing win tonight. Love the massive support for us at Lucknow. Thank you to all the fans for supporting us.”

In a video shared by RCB, Kohli said, “We got more support than the home side tells you how much we are loved as a team and this win is important for us including for many other reasons.”
