The upcoming Asia Cup 223 will be the 16th edition of the mega event, with the matches to be played as One Day Internationals. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. As many as 11 players from India have scored century in the Asia Cup so far. Virat Kohli holds the record for scoring most number of centuries as an Indian player with three centuries in the mega event.
Highest team total
Another major record held by India in the continental championship is that of the highest team total in the T20I format. The Men in Blue scored 212/2 against Afghanistan in the last edition of the tournament.
Highest successful run-chase
In 2012, India chased down a huge total of 330 against arch-rivals Pakistan with 13 balls remaining. Kohli starred with the bat, scoring a brilliant century of 183.
Most victories
India are the most successful team in the T20I format of the tournament also. The Men in Blue have played 10 T20I games in the competition so far. They have won eight of those matches.
Most titles
India are the most successful side in the history of the Asia Cup. They have won the tournament seven times so far - six ODI titles and one T20I title.
