There are so many cricketers in India who have gone through lots of hardships and struggle before making it big at the international level. These players have written their own destiny and changed their fate through their hard work and perseverance.
One of those cricketers is Team India pacer T Natarajan who made his debut for the national team in December 2020. He was born in Chinnapampatti, a village near Salem in Tamil Nadu.
Natarajan’s father was a weaver and his mother used to run a fast food stall. Natarajan got a chance to wear Team India’s jersey due to his hard work and struggle.
Before making it to the Indian team, Natarajan was picked by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIK) in 2017. He was bought by the franchise for Rs 3 crore. Natarajan’s dream was to open a cricket academy in his village to help children learn the game without many difficulties.
Eventually he made it and the mini stadium built by Natarajan has four pitches, a gym, a canteen and a small gallery with 100 seats. The stadium was inaugurated by India cricketer Dinesh Karthik.
